FAQs
How long will my chai last for?
Destiny's Chai has a shelf life of up to 1 year as long as it is stored in a cool, dry area. However, we don't think your pouch will last that long before you're ready for a fresh batch of Chai!
What is sticky chai?
Sticky chai is a blend of spices and tea and the honey is the sweetness that combines it altogether, hence making it sticky.
How many cups of tea do I get from a 200g pouch?
There is approximately 15-20 serving of Chai in our 200g pouches (varies depending how much Chai you like to use for each cup!). That averages out to be $1.30 per brew!
Do you ship internationally?
Yes we sure do! Keep in mind that postage costs can be quite high for international shipping.
Is there anything in Destiny's Chai that I may be allergic to?
Please refer to our ingredients tab to make sure you can consume all the ingredients that go into our Chai. Generally, there are few allergies to spices, tea and honey, however if you can not have a particular ingredient we don't want you to miss out! Shoot us an email and we can make a custom order for you!
Is Chai healthy?
Chai tea has a great source of antioxidants and the combination of spices offer many health benefits (check out the ingredients tab to find out more!) If you want a healthier alternative to coffee - Chai wins hands down! It has a third of the amount of caffeine and is still as comforting and tasty!
What is the best way to brew my chai?
We love the stove top brew as it gives the Chai more time to extract into the milk, resulting in a stronger and rich flavour. Here's how you do it:
One cup of milk (bonsoy is our pick!) with one heaped tablespoon of Destiny's Chai. Stir on low heat over the stove for 6-8 minutes or just before it simmers. Strain your brewed chai into a mug and enjoy!
Can I use my Chai mix a second time?
Yes we have a little Chai hack! After you have brewed your Chai over the stove or using the coffee machine brew you can place the tea mix into a jar of milk (1tbs to 1 cup) and into the fridge to sit overnight. Strain over a glass of ice and there you have it - two uses out of one tablespoon of Chai. Note: this method will not be as flavoursome as using fresh Chai for the Iced Chai Method.
What is the Iced Chai Brew method?
One cup of milk with one heaped tablespoon of Destiny's Chai mixed together. Allow to brew overnight and then using a tea strainer, pour your Chai over a glass of ice and enjoy! Make a full jug of Chai ready to go and keep in the fridge.
What is the Espresso Machine Brew?
One heaped tablespoon of Destiny's Chai into your milk jug, cover the Chai with just enough boiling water and let it brew for 90 seconds. Pour milk onto the Chai and steam together with espresso machine steam wand to desired temperature. Using a tea strainer, pour your brewed Chai into a mug, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top and enjoy!
